Grafham Water week ending 26 June

FISH WEEK , RETURNS , ROD AVERAGE 3.1

Hot weather has made the fishing tricky, but good fish are still being caught. The aerator has been producing throughout the day and is definitely the go to spot in hot conditions. Lure patterns have been accounting for plenty of fish as have dry flies. Damsels are now starting to hatch around the weed beds particularly along plummers and savages so a drift around these areas with a match the hatch pattern should be worth a go.

Bank fishing has been slow as it always is at this time of year but, a few good fish have been taken from the harbour Arms on small fry patterns fished late in to the evening.

With the forecast for the week ahead looking more promising and another 2500 rainbows due to go in tomorrow we expect the sport to improve and the rod average to climb.
