Grafham Water week ending 22 May

Fish week 437 Returns 106 Rod average 5.92

Grafham continues to fish well with a respectable rod average of 5.9.

The best method both from the bank and boat is a washing line with either a team of Buzzers fishing static or dead slow or a mix of Diawl Bach , Hare’s ear, Cruncher and Muskins fished dead slow.

A sinker on a Di3 will catch on the calm days when there a few fish coming to the surface, Dries in the flat flat/ calm areas of the lake.

Size 12 or 14 Bobs Bits, Mini Hoppers and CDC emergers are taking fish.

There are shrimp feeders close in along the Dam on a favourable gentle westerly wind also from G mark all along to the willows at the north end of the Dam, there are some better fish in the bowl of the Dam.

The hot spots for bank anglers are the harbour arms with double figure catches being taken.

The south corner of the dam and Plummers bank are also fishing well with several Bream taken.

Best boat areas are anywhere along the Southern shore. The North shore marks apart from G have not kicked in yet.

Please try not to anchor on the hot spots and take it in turn to drift across so everyone has a chance to fish it.

Fish stocked: 25,000 (so far this season)
