Fish week 1,251 Returns 145 Rod average 8.7
With a total of 1,251 fish caught this week there can be no doubt that Grafham is not only fishing well, but truly the water to be on at this time of year! The boat anglers have been catching fish from various areas across the reservoir. During the mid-week session when the temperature was warmer the south shore has proven to fish well when the anglers have been using lures stripped quickly, on sinking lines, humungus and perch patterns have been working well, usually on the drift if the wind allows.
If you prefer the traditional style of fishing head anywhere from the Hedge End along to G marker. Small green buzzers fished static under a bung has worked well along with washing lines used loch style. If you can’t contain yourself from twiddling the line back then use a hares ear or a boobie retrieved figure of eight style.
The north shore has been fishing well from the bank so long as the wind is not too strong, you are well advised to use a small buzzer once again fished static, don’t be afraid to allow it to sink. Remember we are here to help so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
