BOAT In Time is now: 17:30

We had some amazing comments from anglers this week telling us how fantastic they think Grafham Water is. Thank you all for your feedback and we really enjoy those busy days when all the boats are out and everyone is having a great time.
This weekend saw the return of the fabulous Fry bash competition. Over 70 anglers ventured onto the res and almost everyone returned with full buckets. We saw several rainbows over 6 pounds, as always lovely bars of silver. Many over wintered fish were around and some lovely 8-9 pound brownies were caught and released as well.

The key locations have been the dam, g buoy, hedge end. The bowl of the dam 100-200 yards off the dam has been very popular. Please refrain from anchoring on or too near the dam.

Fish have been found up high in the water and near the edges so your best bet is to get your lines close in ideally on a floating line. Highly suggested are a foam daddy or a fab on the point of your line and shrimp patterns and hares ears on the dropper.

If you are targeting 5 or 6 pound fish, black lures and snakes have worked best around the seat.
The fish are feeding hard on shrimp, snails and fry so any combination of imitating these are recommended.
The banks are fishing really well at the moment, especially in the early morning. The water levels are still dropping so we are keeping a close eye on the yellow line at the dam. Once the yellow line is fully dry we can lift the restrictions, we will keep you posted.

Boat Etiquette. Just a friendly reminder to please return your boats how you found them when you left. Please take your waste to the bins provided, wash off your anchors, put accessories back and fold up your drogues. This really helps us to continue to keep the boat standards as high as possible and ready for fishing.

Update: The no anchoring zone at Marlow is still in place due to the current water levels and too many anchors having been caught up and lost over there.
