Grafham Water Watersports
PLEASE NOTE: GRAFHAM WATERSPORTS HAVE NOW CLOSED FOR 2023. RUTLAND WATERSPORTS REMAINS OPEN.
New to summer 2023, Grafham Water is launching pay and play watersports. Choose from kayaking or paddleboarding
- or even our pink flamingo pedalo!
Pay and play paddle sports at Grafham
Based at our main car park near the Visitor Centre, you can hire paddleboards, kayaks and even a flamingo pedalo, named by our visitors as 'HMS Flingo'.
If you prefer to watch your friends and family splash around on the water from the shore, we're also hiring out deck chairs from our brand new beach hut. So you can sit back, relax and get your cameras at the ready for any capsizing!
Please note the availability of this activity is weather dependant.
During fine weather we will be open 11am-5pm 7 days a week during the school summer holidays.
Can I bring my own paddleboard or kayak?
Yes, you can launch your own paddle craft from the shore if it is Category 4 or has the safety code ISO6185. Before launching, you need to check in with our staff at the beach hut and pay a £10 fee, which covers the cost of our watersports assistants to look out for you while you're out on the water. Please note the area which is available for you to use your paddle craft in is the same area as we operate our water sports activities. This area is buoyed off from the main reservoir.
