Alton & Ardleigh Predator Fishing
With pike roaming the waters, predator fishing at Alton Water and Ardleigh Reservoir is exciting and full of challenges and if you are looking to put your fishing skills to the test, then predator fishing is the activity for you.
Do I need a permit for predator fishing?
Yes. As with all fishing at Alton Water and Ardleigh Reservoir, you need a permit to fish. Predator fishing at Alton & Ardleigh is priced the same as our standard fishing permits:
Season tickets are valid for 12 months from date of purchase – subject to fishing seasons

For the safety of the fish
We want you to get the most out of your visit, but we also want to ensure our fish are treated with respect. When in possession of a predator permit you must abide by the following rules:
- Dead sea baits only
- Landing nets and unhooking mats are required
- No live baiting
- Wire traces to be used when fishing for pike, zander and perch.
